Blessed be the name of Jesus for all his goodness, for his mercies, for his love and long sufferings. Praise God for his wonderful words, that contain wonderful instructions, commandments, promises. God is the only one who is truthful, faithful. He is the only one who could speak the truth. He is the only one who could speak and make things to happen. It is only God who said a word to make things exist for it was written the heaven and the earth are made by the word of the lord and all the hosts of them by the breath of his mouth. Psalms 33: 6. I believe he is the only one that we should depend on, we should trust, believe and wait upon.
So the question is what is our role as believers, as sons and daughters of God, as people of God, as people with covenant. I believe it is to believe, to believe and keep believing. I believe it is to trust and keep trusting him no matter what happens in this life. I believe it is to to believe and obey. I believe we have to believe and obey for there is no other way for us to go with God. I believe we have to believe his word and in his prophets. It is true God would use people to call us, to edify us , to encourage us, instruct us and give us his promises. It is true God would use us to save and bless people for his own glory. I believe God would us to fulfil his eternal purpose that he designed from eternity.
The truth about God is he would do all what he said he would do though we don't know how, and when. God is a faithful God and he would do all what he said he would do. Our responsibility as believers then is to trust him. It is to trust him and him alone we should trust for it was written trust in the lord in all they heart , don' t lean on on your understanding but acknowledge him in all thy way he shall direct your path. Proverbs 3: 5-6. That is the word of God and that is a great principle for us to conciser when it comes to our relationship with God. Solomon the wisest king we know shared his wisdom saying, " My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. Proverbs 3:1-10.
This wonderful preacher continues his advice saying, " My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew. My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:" Proverbs 3:12-20.
God is great and his wisdom and understanding is unsearchable. His judgement is true and righteousness together and desired. He is the right Judge if we depend on him and wait for him. Judging others with our own understanding will surly be costly for we are passing our own judgement on others. Jesus taught a very radical teaching on judgement while he was in this earth. He said, "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." Mathew 7: 1-5. Let the word Judge people not you, but make sure you speak my words for that is why I called you from the darkness to a marvellous light. You are called to be my witness, my servant, my it is to be my mercy object. Remember my word, let not the enemy deceive you using my word to take you away from my knowledge, my understanding and my purpose. Thank you Jesus for your goodness and for your mercies. Amen!
