He is the truest friend to me

Jesus shall lead me, night and day. He is the truest friend to me when I remember Calvary. Jesus shall lead me night and day for he is the truest friend to me when I remember Calvary. This is the song came to my mind while I was thinking, and contemplating about my life.

I was thinking about the hope I have in him, all the desires, the aspirations and dreams I have in him. I know he is the only one who would give all these things and I know he is the only one who would make these things to come true.

I know he is the only true God and everlasting father. I know he is the beginning and the end .I know he is the one who make things happen. I know he is the one who will make everything beautiful in his own time. Therefore, I will hold unto him, and I will wait for him until he comes. I know he has everything I need in this life. He is the one who gives me hope, and he is the one who fulfill it. He is the one who strengthen my heart.

He is my light and my salivation. He is my shield and buckler. He is my defender and my comforter in time of trouble, in him I will trust. He is my glory and my hope and I will always hope in him.

I sat down to think and contemplate about God , his goodness and his mercies, and his love. What capture my thought was the fact that he is the one true friend to us. Jesus is a friend , a true friend who will never leave us neither forsaken us. He is a friend closer than a brother as it was written, "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24.

I believe that is why the songwriter said what he said when he thought of Jesus as a friend. This is what he said in his song.

Onward I go, nor doubt nor fear, Happy with Christ my Savior near, Trusting that I some day shall see, Jesus my Friend of Calvary.

Then I sang the song with the song writer knowing Jesus is the truest friend to me. He is ended the truest friend to us all for he even was able to give his life for us. He gave his life so that we may have life at the end of this journey called life. Jesus is the truest friend to us, lets hold him dearly for he is always there to hold our hand and lead us.

He is my provider for he promised saying he supply all our needs. He knows what I need for he created my heart and everything that is in my heart. This is what I said after realising all these. Lord take all what I have , I give it all to you for you gave it to me. Lord , I will worship you and give you all the glory and the honour for it is written worship the Lord him alone you worship.

The fact and the matter is life at times is a test. God is testing us whether we love him and keep his commandment or not. God will test our love to him. and some times he would allow temptation to come in , not to destroy us , but to teach us , help us grown in him.

Therefore, sometimes we would find would find ourselves walking in the night(darkness), where there is no light. The good thing is , darkness means only the absence of light . Therefore, we need to wait for the light. There are times where we find ourselves walking in a tough path , where there is no enough light that allow us to see through. Then we would find ourselves walking in uncertainty, doubt, some fear . That is alright for life in this life is like that , but we need to know there is an end to it.

We need to know It might be night at this moment, or it might be a season of weeping crying, and frustration, but we must believe joy comes in the morning as the writer indicated saying, weeping may endure for the nigh ,but joy comes in the morning.

That is what we need to know and believe when we find ourselves walking in the path of darkness, or challenging situation we have to remember our true friend Jesus is walking with us. We have to know and believe that Jesus is the truest friend to us, and he is able to walk with us all the way. Blessed be his name.

We may find ourselves walking in the night at the moment, but we need to know for sure day would be coming. We need to know and believe the day is coming. We need to believe the day of the Lord would come. Though we are not sure when, and how, we must believe its coming. He would come to change the dark in to light. He would come to wipe away our tears and cover us with glory. He would come to change discouragement, and frustration in to comfort and fulfilment. He would come to take away fear and uncertainty to replace it with faith and assurance. He would come to take away lack, emptiness to replace it with plenty and fulfilment. He would come to fulfill the desires of our heart. Glory to God!

Let us wait for the day of the lord for the day of the Lord is coming. I am looking forward to see that day , the day of the lord.
