Teach me thy way oh Lord

Blessed be the name of the Lord for all his goodness, for his mercies, and for his love. I know it is his great love and mercy enables me to stand today. I know I have hope in him, my hope is in the Lord. Therefore, I would say he is my portion.

The Lord Jesus is my portion no matter what happens. I will pray a prayer joining David for he said “The Lord Jesus is my light and my salvation, whom shall Iand he is the strength of my heart. That is why I would come to his house with thanksgiving and praise in my heart. I will bless him for he is the only true God and everlasting life.

I trust him no matter what happens for I decided to follow him. I decided to follow him because I want him to bless me, more importantly I want to be with him at the end. I know he is coming back to take us to the place he prepares for us. He gave this wonderful promise saying anyone who believe in me even if he dies he would live again. John 11:24. He also said, he would will go to prepare a place for us and he would come back again to take us to the place he want us to be. These are some of the wonderful promises Jesus has given us when we believe and decided to follow him.

The life we are living now is a life that we live by faith in him. We begin our Journey by faith for we believed in his word. We decided to follow him for we are convinced that his promises that is given through his words are true. Therefore, we are following him trusting his promises. When we understand this truth we have to decide to follow hi each day knowing he has given us each day to seek him, his ways and ultimately his will. We need to live each day praying this wonderful, and inspiring prayer teach me thy way oh Lord. We often hear David, a man that is after his own heart pray this particular prayer. In one place he said, “When my father and my mother forsaken me, then the Lord would take me up. Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies.

In another place we could hear him pray saying, “Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: until my heart to fear thy name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: I will glorify thy name for evermore.” In another place he prayed saying, “Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou are the God of my salivation; on thee do I wait all the day.”

I believe David is praying this prayer knowing the way of God is a right and perfect way to go through. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a straight and smooth way, but it is a right way. Sometimes God want us to pass through some tough path, but we don’t need to question God, but pass through it. We will only know and understand why after we pass through it and learn the lesson God want us to learn. We will only understand the plan of God once he made us pass through in what he want us to pass through, but need to learn to trust him. When we need is to pray a prayer each day saying teach me thy way Oh Lord, and lead me in a plain path.
