I have written your name on the palms of my hands
Blessed be the name of Jesus for all his goodness, for his great mercy and great love. I am so blessed for he called me from the life I was in, and saved me from my sin when I believe and baptised in his name. I am so grateful he sustained my life thus far. He gave me grace to stand, he protected me from all dangers came to destroy my life. He defended me when men, and the enemy of my soul Satan came to accuse me.
That is why I would come to his court with thanksgiving and praise in my heart. I will bless his name and tell his goodness, his mercy and his love for others. I know I am called to tell the goodness of the Lord, and all his deeds. He has done so much for me I would not keep silent, but magnify his name.
I was taking time to reflect on the day. I was thinking of different things I was able to observe through the day. There is one thing capture my attention, a scripture written in one side of the wall in our church. This is how it reads, “I have written your name on the palms of my hands” Isaiah 49:16. Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus for his word, this is the word of assurance from God to us all he is a God who hold us in his hand. He is a God of the Universe, a creator of the heaven and the earth. He is the God who hold the universe in his hand. He is not only assuring us that he wrote our name in his hand, but he will always be with us. He gave us many wonderful promises, including the promises of the Kingdome of God. However, he promised not to leave us, neither to forsake us. It was written, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsaken you.” Deuteronomy 31:6.
