The second fundraiser event

We organised various fundraiser events to raise some funds that will help us achieve the project ‘s objectives. We organised another fundraiser event on 10th April 2016. We invited many people, this time around 30 people showed up and confirm their willingness to support this project. I was a wonderful experience for we have many people volunteered to organise the event. We had a great time sharing about the project, and sharing stories. We heard from many people during this event. Some shared their ideas and their willingness to involve and support and involve this project.

We have people who volunteer to welcoming people who come to attend the event. Some volunteer to serve the food. Some volunteer to sell ticket and invite people coming to the event. Some even were willing to allow us use their space for the event. Desta, the owner of Hermon’s Café provided us the space free, and willing to reduce the price of the meal. In that way, she supported us. I always remember and appreciate the support I received from Desta, the owner of Hermen Cafe. She prepared the meal and willing to charge us half of the price so that half of the money goes to the cause of the project.

I have a lot of people to extend my appreciation for playing huge role for this event to be successful. I have to say thanks to Aman , and his wife Woynee. I have to thank Awote, who volunteer to support us welcoming and serving during the event. I want to say thanks to Daniels, a friend from university of Winnipeg for playing huge role by selling ticket and sharing the information with others. I appreciate another friends Daniel, and Connie who supported me in various ways. I have to say thank to CHAI friends, Allen, Chris, Grace, Ruth the support I received from another friend Danial and Connie. I appreciate the support I received from the CHAI community, Alan, Chris, grace, Sylvia and Greg, and Olga.

I remember the first person who came, it was Olga from CHAI and then Henry and his wife Betty. We had a great time interacting and sharing about different topic. During this event I was able to share my thoughts about the project, and some of the stories. People asked me questions about the objective, and the plan of this project. I am grateful for everyone who came for they gave me feedbacks, and suggestions and ideas about how to go about it. I am grateful to God and to all the people who supported us during this time.
