What a great morning

I am a person who believe each day is a gift from God. I believe that we need to be ready and approach the day with new perspective. I believe we need to approach each day and situation with right perspective and positive attitude for each day is offering us new opportunities to learn and grow.

I believe everyday is a day is a day we are given and we need to approach it with an open heart , and an open mind . I believe we do that, we would find those moments, moments to learn, moments to enjoy, be happy and grateful about. Off course the day would also offer us those moments, the moment of uncertainty, moments of frustration , moments of discouragements, and disappointment. The good thing is, we will find balance when we embrace them both with right perspective.

Let me share with you my experience this morning. I was preparing myself for I was planning to attend a fundraiser event organised by Fort Richmond Collegiate students. These students organised a breakfast fundraiser event students to raise some fund that will be used to support children's education in Dadab Refugee camp, Kenya.

I was thinking on many things, but I was happy I was able to come to this event to support these students, and the work they are doing. These students took the initiation to raise some funds to support refugee students who live in Dadab Refugee Camp, Kenya. I have introduced to their work few months ago, and have been learning a lot since.

In fact I was invited to one of their work, which is Called Human Library to share part of my experience. The Human Library program, essentially is a program designed to bring people with real life experience on various topic , and speak to the people who is willing to learn from them. It is a great teaching and learning experience for both teachers and learners come together for the sake of learning. The learners would have opportunity to ask specific questions about the topic and the speaker would have a chance to answer the question from right point of view because of the lived experience.

So, along the line I was invited to speak in one of their program . It was a great experience for I was able to share part of my story for I lived in a refugee camp in Kenya for sometime. In fact, it was during this time I learned about their initiation designed to support refuge students in Dadab, refugee Camp, Kenya.

I was happy to learn more about their work, and I was grateful I was able to support their work. I believed that I can play my part to support their work. It is a great learning experience for me to talk to these students, to learn about their dedication to support others. I am grateful I was able to be there to help them and support their work.
