Another day at work

It is always great opportunity to work with students and youth. This is what I always believed and say ,as much as I am there to help and support students while I am working I am learning a lot from them. I believe the entire process of teaching and learning provide so many opportunity for both teachers , learners and other professionals working with students. The teaching learning process allow teachers and other professionals to teach students . Not only to teach , but also to learn from them. The process of teaching and learning allow students to learn , and continue learning and growing.

The teaching and learning process provide both teaches, other professionals, and learners an opportunity to share their knowledge , experiences, skills , stories , aspirations , hobbies, and many more things that they have in common. I believe as the saying goes learning is a life long process. I believe we are all leaners and we learn in various ways . I believe we are all teachers and we are all learners when we know and understand that we have a huge role to play in the process of teaching and learning.

I spend most of my morning playing basketball with students today. It was such a wonderful learning experience for me. I spent some time to think and reflect about what made my morning great. The first thing came to my mind was , wow I played basketball with students after a long time. I loved playing basketball for I grew up playing basketball , and I always enjoyed playing basketball. While I was playing with the students, I was able to interact and be able to impart some knowledge and skills that will help the students become a better basketball players. I know I didn't spend much time training them or talk to them for a long time , but I was able to share few things with them. Off course I was able to teach them some basic technique that will help improve their shooting , and shooting accuracy. It was a great learning experience e In the process I was able to teach some of the students to acquire some new skills that will help the students become better basketball players. The other thing is I was a able to play, and interact with them in a very simple level. It was really wonderful to play basketball with students and spend some time teaching them some new skills.

The same goes with the afternoon and the evening . I spend most of the afternoon supporting students with their work. Then , again I spend the entire evening with the Peaceful Village team and students. The peaceful Village program is an afterschool program , which I am working for. I together with other people work with students from Fort Richmond Collegiate and Acadia School in an afterschool program. We are providing support to these students coming to the program. We provide them support related to their studies , interest and passion. Today, It happened to be a day of celebration. What we do is , we organise a program to bring these students, their parents, teachers , and school administers together. The program is called the Village Kitchen, the idea is to prepare meals, and some entertainment to bring all together. We had a great time for there was a nice meal , entertainment organised by the staff.
