My experience in humankind fundraiser event

I have been working on a project, "A Journey Back to Sedika from Winnipeg" for the last four years. I believe working on this project was a great learning experiences , thought the work is tough and challenging. Working on charitable work is often though and challenging, yet rewarding and fulfilling.
I designed, and launched the project, "A Journey Back to Sedika from Winnipeg" in August, 2015. It was designed with the propose of supporting a school in a small town , Sedika, Ethiopia. The project Idea came out of a reflection paper for I learned the amount of lack of basic school supplies, and lack of support system in Ethiopia, the country I was born and grew up. During my reflection, I learned so many things for I was able to think, reflect and analyse about some of the challenges in Ethiopia education system. I was able to look back to see the approaches of education , and some of the challenges for I passed through Ethiopia education system.
Understanding the amount of lack of basic school supplies and support system that will support students are the two compelling reasons that compelled me do something that will change the reality in Sedika, Ethiopia. As I indicated I learned a lot since the project was launched. In the past few years I met many wonderful people who are working on great causes. I was able to meet and share experiences for I gain many experiences through time.
I met Mr. Strini Randi , a person who spend most of his life working in humanitarian work. He has been working and supporting people who are working on humanitarian cause. During our time he has been sharing his experience, and his wisdom that he gained through years. He has been supporting our work that we are working through the project. He supported us and encouraged us when we have a chance to share.
Recently, he invited me and the team from a journey back to Sedika from Winnipeg to one event. This event basically is an annual fundraiser dinner organised to raise some fund that will be used to support children in Dadab Refugee Camp, Kenya. This event was organised by the humankind International. It was a great event for the organisers work hard to make the event successful . It was great to attend the event and play my part in supporting their work.
