My life in the last two weeks

Life has been explained by many , poets , accademicians , philosophers, religious and spiritual leaders , and by many more people . All these people tried to explain life in general using analogies and examples. Some says life is a Journey, I agree with them for I believe life is a journey for it has a begining , the middle, and the end. In life everyone passes through all these stages of life without Excemption .

In life we all passes through different evenues and through different stages .The truth is since life is a Journey we might find ourselves passing through different avenues, the smoth ones , the hills and the mountains, the steep slope , the sharp curves , the long ones. I belive life is a Journy and we are travellers. I believe life is a Journey and we are travelers traveling to our destiny . The truth is the Journey comwtines gets tough and challenging . Sometimes it is enteresting and exciting for it is full of events and stories.

The Journey encompasses some exciting and wonderful stories , and some sad and unpleasant stories as well. It encompasses some happy and joyful moments and sometimes some sad and sorrowful moments. In the Journey there is accomplishment and success and there is failur and unfulfilment, but i truely belive both are equally important for both serve a purpose in making us to be who we are in life.

The truth is there is paradox in life for in life we often find ourselves facing both aspects of life, the good and the bad, but we should learn to embrace them both . Let me stop explaining my extended thoughts and reflection about life and get into part of the story I want to share with you.

I was so happy and excited for I was able to travel to Sedika in the 3rd week of August. Sedika is a very small town located in South East of Addis Ababa , the capital. It is exiting for I traveled back to Sedika after 32 years for I left when I was just 7. I have a lot of good memories as a kid for I was one of those adventurous kids.

Sedika is the place where both my early life and my accademic Journy began. I went to Sedika elementary school for grade one. I was sent to Sedika Elementary School for formal education once I finished the "Kes Temehert bet" which is equivalent to pre-school. " Kes Temehert bet " is like a pre- school or kindrgarten for all kids in small towns like Sedika. It is a preschool designed to train kids to learn to memorize Amharic alphabet , counting numbers and few other things . "Kes temehert bet" is designed and runed by Orthodox Church priests and nuns. In most cases most of the children went to "Kes Temehert bet" have to finishe the first stage of their studies ,which is called "Ha Hu" , which literally means the first alphabet of Amharic language , the national language of Ethiopia. One can move to the next stage , which is called "Abogida" once he/she finished Ha Hu. The "Kes Temehert bet" has a rule , once studnts are able to acquire the skill of pronouncing Ha hu well he/she is allowed to move to "Abugida" .

I finished both "Ha hu" and "Abugida" before I was sent to Sedika Elementary school for formal education , that means that is where my accademic Journey began.

I was so happy that I was able to see the place once I called home . It is exciting and fulfilling to be able to spend time to talk to Sedika community, the school teachers , school administrators , and othre members of the community. It is exciting to see the project's, "A Journey back to Sedika from Winnipeg" progress . It is great to hear what the community thought about the project and it's work and accomplishment.

There is so much to do , to learn , be happy and excited in life . There is so much to do , to learn and be grateful about in our day today life as there is so much trouble, challenges in a day today life . The choice is ours for we can chose happiness or sadness , we can chose peace or trouble , we can choose Joy or sorrow for they both are there out there . I thank God for life and for all the things into it.
