My presentation @UW

I had my presentation about the project , "A Journey back to Sedika from Winnipeg" on Tuesday , 27 of March , 2018. This particular event was organised at the University of Winnipeg. It was organized for the purpose of sharing the project objectives, the experience of working in this project , and its achievement.

Working on this project was a great learning experience for me. I cant not deny the fact that it was challenging as well. Though it was challenging, I thought it is worth taking the challenge .

I am are gratful for we are able to accomplish many things thus far. I know many of you supported me in this Journey. I know together we are can do much better. The followings are what we were able to accomplish in 2017/18 school year . We are gratful for we are able to provide 115 Sedika Elementary school students with all the school supplies and other educational aid materials including uniform. We are gratful for we are able to provide sport equipment's, including soccer kits for two Sedika Elementary soccer teams. We provided them with balls , nets , shoes , other equipment help them play the game. We also provide volleyballs, and other equipment. We are grateful for we were able to help re-establish the sport club of the school. We heard the school has two soccer team , named "Dandi Borru" which means the future of tomorrow in local language, and "Anbessa," which mean Lion. We are grateful that we are able to support the school in a meaningful way.

Now , we are building the resource center , which is our second main objective in this project. We provided 60 corrugated iron sheet, nails and other building materials. The school administration also provided another 60 Corrugated sheet for the constriction of the resource center. They told us since you brought the idea, we would be happy to support you and constrict a more bigger multipurpose resource center.

Now , the school administration and the community took the responsibility of building the resource center . We heard the community took the initiation of providing materials needed for the construction. They provided martials such as wood. They also provided human resource, which is significant for the construction of the resource center.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you all who came to supported this project . I want you to know that your hand was reaching the needy Sedika Students and the school . I want you to know that you are impacting the students life in various ways for I believe providing school supplies and other educational materials is significant in improving the process of teaching and learning.

I want to thank all the people who were able to come to attend the evet again. I want you to know that it means a lot to me and more importantly to Sedika students.

I want to say thank the following people who came to support the cause of this project at the event organised at the UW. I want to thank all of you came to this event.

I want to thank Sam, the event coordinator staff and the event coordinators from UW. I also want to thank UWSA for providing us the space and the equipment we needed .

Special thanks to Dr. Mary, Surafel, and Alemu Regasa for sharing their thought and experience using the platform. I want to thank Feven Mergia and her friend Marlita for serving the food and coffee .

I want to acknowledge , and thank Anita Peters,and her family for providing donation to cover the cost of the uniform for 115 students , thank you and may God bless you!

Organising the event was a great learning experience for me . Thanks for giving me your feedback and words of encouragement , and the suggestions and for questions. I will consider all your suggestions and the comments you made going forward to accomplishe the project's objective.

I believe together we are able to bring difference in the lives of Sedika students in need, the school and the community in general. Thank you and may God bless you!
